Thank you to everyone who participated in the Shire of Exmouth community survey in May this year. The limited report released last week outlined the drivers of the opinions of those who responded.
We will be carefully considering all points raised out of respect for the views of those who participated. The insights are very valuable to us as we continue to develop our project in the interest of the Exmouth community – they will enable us to better explain the project’s benefits, while also responding to the concerns of local residents.
Given participation in this survey was self-selecting, rather than a random sample poll, the results are unlikely to be representative of all Exmouth residents. Given this, we will ramp up our community engagement activities in the future to ensure we can talk to as many people as possible in Exmouth.
